The first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask you about what's bringing you in, what you've tried before, what's felt helpful and what hasn't, and what you're hoping life looks like on the other side of this. There's no pressure to have it all figured out or to share everything at once. Think of it less as an intake and more as the beginning of a conversation.

Both. I see clients in person in Ogden, Utah and offer virtual sessions as well. If you're local and love the idea of a Walk and Talk session — therapy outdoors, in movement and nature — that's an option too. We'll figure out what format works best for you and your life.

If you’re not using insurance, individual and couples sessions are both $150 per session.
Your therapy experience

Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially in the beginning. Consistency early on helps build the trust and momentum that makes the work actually stick. As things shift and you start to feel more grounded, we can move to every other week or less frequently depending on where you are.

Honestly, it varies. Some people come in with a specific issue and feel solid after a few months of consistent work. Others are working through layers of trauma or long-standing patterns that take longer to untangle — and that's okay too. I don't believe in keeping people in therapy longer than they need, but I also won't rush a process that deserves real time. We'll check in regularly on how things are feeling and adjust from there.

You wouldn't be the first. A lot of the people I work with have tried therapy before and felt like something was missing — whether it was connection, depth, or a therapist who actually understood the specific things they were carrying. If you've been burned before, tell me. It helps me show up better for you, and it's often some of the most important information we can start with.
